As a photographer, I bring over ten years of experience to the table. I've worked as a photojournalist, an adventure sports photographer, a and a commercial studio photographer. Over those years I've also been a salesman, a carpenter, an archival picture framer, and a semi-pro rock climber.
I approach photography not just as an art form, but as a skilled trade — one that requires precision, vision, and an understanding of the client’s needs. Whether I’m working with a brand, a pet, or a product, I bring a thoughtful, grounded approach to every project. This isn’t just what I do — it’s what I know, and what I love.

Scrimshaw Media is 10 years in the making. I've spent the last decade working on my relationship with photography and working in deferent markets within the photography industry. My personal passions fuel my professional work. It's important to me to help people grow their businesses, communicate their worth to their customers, celebrate their successes and recognize the people that stand by their side.

My focus is providing stunning technical imagery to marketers, business owners and pet lovers in the Pittsburgh area. I love working with small businesses and highlighting what makes them stand out. My photographic approach has been favorably described as aggressive and distilled. I like powerful, dynamic imagery that elevates my subject and communicates their story to their audience.
If I'm not working I'm either fencing at Hilt and Helm Historic Fencing, rock climbing, hiking or reading a good book.
